Technology 2.0

Ed Tech Showcase.

Building Communities of Practice

Classroom Application

This section of my showcase highlights how I have used a variety of web 2.0. As a result, I have been able to apply the knowledge gained from the use of these tools into my lesson plans and teaching techniques to further diversify lessons and heighten the level of engagement in students.

I enjoy opportunities in which I am able to either connect with other educators or cultivate skills that will further help me impact my community of practice. I chose each of the examples below because I feel that they gave me the knowledge and the experience in which I am able to directly apply to my current education communities. I will be able to further apply these experiences in order to continue to develop into a leader on my campus.

This page contains contains a compilation of artifacts that includes examples of how I have used various technology tools, expanded my leadership skills, and how I have used educational technology specific to classroom instruction. As a result of the experience and knowledge that I have gained from creating these artifacts, I have been better able to differentiate instruction to better meet the needs of my 21st century student population. Note: Please view the Student Showcase page to view examples of student work from my classes that demonstrate how I have applied various forms of technology into my lessons.

The MAET program has dramatically impacted how I think about lesson design and the teaching methods that I use within my classroom. My overall knowledge of theories such as TPACK and countless applications for web 2.0 tools is represented daily in my lessons. As a result, I have been better able to diversify lessons, in order to meet the needs of my 21st century students.  I have chosen a few examples that illustrate how I have directly applied this knowledge in my current classroom setting.
